Koniag Management Services, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Systems Engineer to support KMS and our government customer at Fort Lee, VA. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Provide subject matter expertise relating to operational behavior (data flows, system exchanges, interfaces, inputs, outputs, and processes).
• Develop a system level SE Plan, system architecture, system interface diagrams, system information plan, system configuration baseline, and other documentation.
• Possess and apply a comprehensive knowledge across key systems and agency solutions to include data flows and system interfaces.
• Teaming with enterprise architecture and test teams, providing operational system knowledge
• Analyze program effectiveness/contractor performance for the system and identify critical areas and anticipated cost/budget impact of changes in system requirements/configuration baseline and impact on the program
• Capable of assimilating information from various technical specialties and devising innovative solutions.
• Support the development of an Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs) and technical briefings
• Facilitate or lead as the Systems Engineering Working Level Integrated Project Team (IPT) meetings in the preparation, approval and submission of all engineering related documentation including the Systems Engineering Plan, associated system performance specifications and information support plan leading to the Investment Review Board (IRB) certification and subsequent milestone approval.
• Develop and coordinate minutes any SE input/slides for all milestone briefings, charts, documentation and program updates
• Develop, update and maintain SE documentation based on the DoD 5000 series
• Conduct or monitor systems application development
• May coordinate and lead the work of subordinate engineers on assigned projects.
• Work cross-functionally with other IT organizations to support the agency mission.
• Gain knowledge of the end-to-end operations of the Agency’s mission critical solutions.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in a related area (or equivalent)
• 5+ years experience as a Systems Engineer or equal experience in developing, implementing and enhancing information systems, preferably for the federal government
• Familiar with enterprise architecture frameworks, and diagrams/views.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Possess advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Lead and direct the work of others.
• 2+ years of experience supporting and sustaining DOD programs preferred.
Clearance Requirement:
• U. S. Citizen with ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
