We are seeking a motivated Intermediate FMS Program Manager (PM) to provide support for our Secretary of the Air Force / Office of Competitive Activities (SAF/OC) customer. The ideal Program Manager will be able to work independently, lead a high performing and specialized team, be able to review financial documentation for accuracy and understand Foreign Military Sales processes, procedures, and requirements. All work will be performed remotely but will be required to go onsite to meet with customer.
Responsibilities
• Responsibilities include managing daily operations, planning and directing team tasks.
• Responding to customer requirements and support needs and serving as a liaison between AFBI and the Government especially INDOPACOM Directorates.
Requirements
• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI Eligibility
• Education: BA/BS or higher
• Five (5) years’ experience in DoD Acquisition or Security Assistance management or technical leadership role.
• Recent experience (within the last 12 months) working directly with FMS partner nation personnel and/or US Agencies engaged in FMS/BPC case management
• Must possess comprehensive knowledge of the principles, policies and practices of FMS system acquisition and program management
• Knowledge of roles and relationships within the FMS community of agencies and INDOPACOM Directorates.
• Experience establishing new organizational processes and procedures and making recommendations to Government personnel regarding process initiation and improvement.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Be proficient in systems and administrative tools such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, Cost Point, and Concur
• Some Travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Foreign Military Sales experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Leadership or management experience in US Service-related military operations or defense acquisition program management position.
• Experience managing or engaging with foreign partner nations in secure, information sharing systems across multiple locations.
• Experience with requirements development and use of the BICES-X systems
• Ability to speak and translate Japanese.
Schedule
• You can flex time during the 2 week pay cycle - avoid using PTO for appointments
