The Tyre Performance Engineer will play a key role within the tyre performance team, contributing both trackside and at the factory. The position requires providing experienced support during trackside rotations, ensuring a rapid understanding of both performance and operational priorities, while also delivering valuable input from the factory during race weekends and test events. In addition, the role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of trackside tools, tyre models, and processes within a new and rapidly evolving team.
- Supporting the race team in tyre performance optimization and tyre management during the event (either trackside or from the factory).
- Completing mandatory tyre reporting on time and to a high standard
- Assisting development of tyre performance tools, methods, and infrastructure
- Continuously improving operational processes at the track and the factory
- Developing and maintaining department administration and reporting procedures
- Assisting with tyre testing activities and tyre model correlation
- Looking at future years for expected tyre performance and behaviour
Requirements

- What do you need to bring to the team?
- Strong understanding of physics and math relating to high-performance vehicles.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Experience in performing data analysis, including data cleaning, transformation, and visualization, using Python, R, or equivalent.
- Experience with live telemetry and competitor analysis software
- Excellent interpersonal skills and eagerness to contribute positively to an open and inclusive culture.
- High-level motorsports experience in tyre performance, especially with Pirelli tyres.
