At our Manufacturing Engineering Department in Medtronic Mervue, plc, we focus on providing technical support to Manufacturing operations with a focus on results and teamwork. The Manufacturing Technician III is directly involved in the achievement of our mission to contribute to human welfare by manufacturing products that alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life.

A Day in The Life Of:

Responsibilities may include the following, and other duties may be assigned.

• Perform a variety of duties in the Electronic, Mechanical, Electromechanical and/or Optical areas on the production floor.
• Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, devices, or systems.
• Works from schematics, Engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
• Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed I.T. format.
• Performs calibration and alignment checks, modifications, and replacements as directed.
• Provide technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement and product development.
• Responsible for the installation, calibration, and preventative maintenance of on-line process equipment and for the preparation, maintenance, and control of appropriate documentation outlining product processing work steps.
• Provide technical support to Lean Sigma initiatives/continuous improvement projects or other task/project teams as required.

Key Skills & Experience

• Minimum NFQ level 6 qualification, in engineering or in a relevant discipline.
• Must be available to work Evening shift.
• The ideal candidate will be a dynamic team player and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams.
• A good communicator and fluent in English, both in writing and speaking.
• Experienced with computer literacy.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Understanding of Quality System Requirements.
• Excellent knowledge of such packages as Excel, Word, any CAD package.
