The Co-op Ethanol Complex (CEC) is hiring a Quality Control Technician I on a permanent basis to work on site in Belle Plaine, SK. If you live 20+ KM away from site, we will offer a rural commuting allowance to help support the commuting costs!
We’re looking for someone detail-oriented and scientifically driven who can help ensure our product quality remains top-tier. If you enjoy working in a lab setting and contributing to safe, reliable fuel production, this role is for you.
What You’Ll Do:
- Perform microbiological testing and interpret results, complete related reporting and documentation.
- Collect samples throughout the processing facility and monitor product quality using instruments such as HPLC, moisture analyzer, pH meter, and NIR test equipment.
- Calibrate, verify, and maintain lab equipment; prepare test solutions and instruments.
- Monitor and manage lab inventory, and ensure procedures are updated and followed.
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment and promote safety across lab operations.
- Train team members on sampling techniques and the proper use of lab equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

The Team: You will report to the Quality Assurance & Environmental Manager and work closely with others on a team that values precision, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.

Who You Are:
You are looking for a career in Quality and Environmental Services and:
- Have 1 - 3 years of relevant experience.
- Have a Diploma in Chemical Technology.
