About Global Supply Management:
Global Supply Management (GSM) is responsible for partnering with Amex colleagues to optimize their third-party spend. The team provides strategic consultation to the business while providing end-to-end procurement services. It maximizes the purchasing power of the Company to drive the best value from its supplier base which then frees-up investment capacity for the Enterprise. GSM, together with its business partners, manages the supplier strategy for the Company: identifying and on-boarding new third-party suppliers, realizing significant cost savings, and generating value through collaboration with GCS and GMNS.
About The Role:
The Manager, PMO Strategic Sourcing & Business Enablement (“SS&BE”), reporting to the Director PMO SS&BE will support the program management activities for a global Savings Initiative. This role will work with multiple stakeholders to track and coordinate the initiative across the organization, as well as manage contractor support to enable success in 2026. The manager will play a critical role in driving organization, governance and structure across the program and will thrive on managing multiple activities in an ambiguous environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and maintaining high-quality reporting and communications and will have strong l stakeholder engagement analytical, and project management skills. This is an exciting opportunity to drive the expansion of our savings targets for the Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and management of project plans to enable the successful delivery of the global savings initiative across the Enterprise.
- Produce accurate, insightful and clear program update materials, tailored to the various forums and internal stakeholder groups.
- Monitor adherence to procurement policies and regulatory compliance.
- Create and deliver consolidated and accurate program reporting and analytics for both internal use and external regulatory bodies.
- Identify forward-looking insights, trend analysis, and recommendations to leadership.
- Support procurement pipeline planning and strategic road maps whilst aligning efforts across delivery workstreams.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Identify learning needs and form communication strategies as the program progresses.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, cultural awareness, and exceptional partnering skills including ability to influence with and without authority at all levels.
- Have a strong understanding of the regulatory environment and the impact to the Enterprise and key functions across GSM.
- Maintain and promote the Blue Box Values by ensuring that work is completed to the highest professional, legal, and regulatory standards, and that the activities subject to review comply with Enterprise business ethics.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Procurement, Shared Services or related field is strongly preferred.
- Highly motivated self-starter & collaborator who can lead projects with limited guidance.
- Excellent project/program management and organizational skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly complex environment with a proven ability to quickly adjust to multiple demands and re-prioritization of work based on risk exposure, regulatory deadlines and business impact.
- Proven track record of data analysis to develop insights and recommendations.
- Excellent people skills, including relationship management, influencing, planning and motivation.
- Collaborative mindset and passion for enterprise thinking and partnering across multiple levels.
- Ability to manage day-to-day business priorities along with long-term strategic deliverables.
- Strong communication skills are a must. Including the ability to quickly tailor communications to various levels within the business.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to deal with ambiguity and rapid change.
Minimum Qualifications
Salary Range: $103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually + bonus + benefits
