Senior Research Assistant (EFGH)

Introduction

The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.

This is a grant funded contractual position

Responsibilities

You Will Be Responsible To:

• collect data using digital tools as per project protocol
• conduct maternal and newborn anthropometric measurements
• perform household visits in line with study procedures
• do household visits as per project protocol
• coordinate regularly with project supervisors to discuss field-related activities
• provide appropriate counselling to study participants
• maintain all project data in an organized and confidential manner
• plan and conduct awareness sessions within the community if required

Requirement

You Should Have:

• at least Bachelors or Graduation degree in Social Science or any other relevant degree
• One – Two years of relevant work experience
• strong communication and interpersonal skills
• team player skills
• good writing skills
• basic Knowledge of survey and other research designs
• ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
• good communication and interpersonal Skills
• resilience and ability to cope with work pressure
• willing to work in the communities/field sites
• good Computer and Report Writing Skills
