We Lead In Chip Design, Verification, And Ip Integration, Empowering The Creation Of High-Performance Silicon Chips And Software Content. Join Us To Transform The Future Through Continuous Technological Innovation.

You Are:

You are a passionate and inquisitive engineer, eager to be at the forefront of semiconductor innovation. With a strong academic background—ideally a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field—you thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments where learning never stops. Your technical skills are matched by your curiosity and your drive to dig deep into complex problems, especially in the realm of physical verification and SoC design enablement.

You are motivated by the opportunity to work closely with both customers and R&D, translating real-world challenges into robust solutions. Your programming proficiency (in Python, Tcl, Perl, or similar) and comfort with UNIX/Linux environments enable you to navigate sophisticated toolchains and workflows. You bring a foundational understanding of DRC, LVS, PERC, Fill, and DFM flows, and you’re eager to deepen your expertise in physical verification and complex semiconductor layout rules.

You believe in the power of clear communication, both written and verbal, and are committed to building productive relationships with colleagues and customers alike. You are adaptable, resilient, and unafraid to learn new technologies or tackle unfamiliar challenges. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality make you a trusted partner in delivering best-in-class solutions.

What You’Ll Be Doing:

  • Collaborating closely with top-tier foundries and key fabless customers to deliver advanced physical verification solutions.
  • Developing and validating process design kits (PDKs) and methodologies for physical verification, ensuring product excellence and signoff readiness.
  • Partnering with R&D teams to drive new technology, enhance tool capabilities, and resolve complex customer challenges.
  • Supporting product validation and quality assurance workflows to ensure accuracy and reliability of physical verification flows (DRC, LVS, PERC, Fill, DFM).
  • Documenting technical solutions and methodologies, creating clear and reusable resources for both internal and external audiences.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with product managers, engineers, and end-users to align on best practices and share feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends in SoC design, verification, and advanced process effects to anticipate and meet evolving customer needs.

The Impact You Will Have:

  • Empowering leading semiconductor companies to achieve first-pass silicon success through robust physical verification solutions.
  • Accelerating the adoption of Synopsys tools and methodologies within foundries and fabless design teams.
  • Contributing to the enhancement of Synopsys’ EDA products by channeling customer feedback and field insights into R&D development cycles.
  • Ensuring the highest quality standards in product validation and signoff, reducing risk for customers and increasing their confidence in Synopsys solutions.
  • Driving innovation in the enablement of advanced process technologies, helping shape the future of chip design and manufacturing.
  • Strengthening Synopsys’ reputation as a trusted partner and technical leader in the semiconductor industry.

What You’Ll Need:

  • MS degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Tcl, Perl, etc.).
  • Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with physical verification flows such as DRC, LVS, PERC, Fill, and DFM.
  • Understanding of complex layout and electrical design rules in semiconductor devices.
  • Prior experience in tool/runset development and support is a plus.
  • Ability to produce clear and thorough technical documentation.

Who You Are:

  • Curious, adaptable, and eager to embrace new technologies and methodologies.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical, with strong investigation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communicator—able to convey complex information clearly and build productive relationships.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in diverse, cross-functional environments.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and committed to delivering high-quality results.

The Team You’Ll Be A Part Of:

You’ll join a dynamic Applications Engineering team dedicated to supporting top-tier foundries and key fabless customers in the physical verification space. Our team is passionate about quality assurance, signoff enablement, and close collaboration with R&D to drive tool innovation. We value open communication, continuous learning, and a shared commitment to technical excellence. Here, your work will directly impact the success of leading-edge semiconductor products worldwide.

Rewards And Benefits:

We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process.
