Job Summary
As an Index Research Analyst within the Global Index Research Group, you serve as a central point for client engagement and operational excellence in the Corporate and Investment Bank. You will address client queries, support product innovation, and drive process improvements by collaborating with diverse internal teams. Your role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality index delivery and maintaining J.P. Morgan’s leadership in the fixed income index space.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for clients of Index Research and Pricing Direct businesses.
- Respond to client queries regarding calculation methodologies, content delivery, and new product enquiries.
- Review and refine existing processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Strategically partner with internal teams and external vendors to implement effective solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Research, Technology, Reference Data, Data Science, and QR teams.
- Exhibit sound relationship management and clear communication with stakeholders.
- Demonstrate analytical problem-solving, teamwork, and effective time management in daily operations.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Quantitative Finance or Management in Information Systems, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in financial services.
- Proven client service experience and ability to comprehend complex client queries.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including detailed specification and requirement gathering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- Experience managing complex projects, including system migration and integration.
- Advanced technical proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and business heads.
- Comfortable working late EMEA hours (2:30pm/4pm) and facing off to senior management.
