Job Overview:

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for successfully executing the recruitment strategy for the attraction, recruitment, assessment, and selection of qualified talent for the Linde Gases US business.  

Recruiting Process Improvement:

  • Automation & TechnologyIdentify opportunities to leverage advanced recruitment technologies, such as AI-driven tools and job boards, candidate screening tools, or talent engagement platforms, to streamline the hiring process.
  • Standardization of Best PracticesAssist TA Manager in establishing and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recruiting across locations and roles, ensuring consistency in screening, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
  • Metrics, Analytics, and ReportingIn partnership with TA Manager regularly analyze recruitment data (e.g., conversion rates, offer acceptance rates, sourcing channel effectiveness) and provide actionable insights to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Workflow Optimization
  • Continuously analyze and refine recruiting workflows to minimize bottlenecks, reduce time-to-fill, and enhance candidate experience.
  • Candidate Experience Enhancements
  • Design and implement strategies to improve communication touchpoints throughout the recruitment process (e.g., transparent timelines, feedback loops, and simplified application procedures).
  • Feedback Loops
  • Solicit and review feedback from hiring managers and candidates to identify gaps and refine interview processes, job descriptions, and candidate communications.
  • Recruitment Funnel Optimization
  • Evaluate and improve each stage of the recruitment funnel (sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring) to attract and retain top-quality candidates.

Mentorship & Team Development:

  • Nurture Junior RecruitersIn partnership with TA Manager provide hands-on coaching and training to junior recruiters and talent acquisition specialists, helping them develop expertise in sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for technical roles.
  • Knowledge SharingShare industry-specific knowledge about industrial gases, including technical terminology, safety standards, and regulatory requirements, to help team members better understand and target niche talent pools.
  • Skill DevelopmentHost regular workshops or training sessions on advanced recruiting techniques, such as Boolean search strings, networking strategies, market mapping, and leveraging social media platforms like LinkedIn.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving
  • Work closely with team members to address hiring challenges, brainstorm solutions, and discuss strategies for attracting hard-to-find candidates in technical or niche roles.
  • Team Morale Building
  • Foster a collaborative team culture by encouraging open communication, celebrating recruitment successes, and motivating staff through recognition.
 

Qualifications

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum of 10 years, high volume recruiting experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years industrial gases operations recruiting experience. Previous Linde Gases recruiting experience is preferred.  
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Word & Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to brainstorm creative recruiting strategies for challenging locations, as well as execution of those strategies 
  • Experience in candidate sourcing and data mining through Taleo ATS system.
  • Previous experience conducting interviews with potential candidates.
  • Strong multi-tasking, and prioritization abilities 
  • Well-defined consultative approach with stakeholders  
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and other recruitment tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable laws and regulations regarding employment practices.
