Job Description
We’re seeking a proactive Marketing & Content Creation to spearhead our marketing and content creation efforts. This role offers the perfect blend of creative freedom and structured support, where you’ll collaborate directly with the business owner to develop engaging marketing materials, manage social media presence, and create compelling content. You’ll have the autonomy to take initiative on projects while contributing to the strategic growth of an established construction business. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to make a meaningful impact on a company’s brand development.
Responsibilities
- Design eye-catching marketing materials and social media graphics using Canva
- Develop and execute social media content strategies across multiple platforms
- Create engaging blog content that showcases the company’s expertise and projects
- Manage WordPress website updates and publish fresh blog content regularly
- Take ownership of projects by asking insightful questions and proposing creative solutions
- Collaborate closely with the business owner to understand vision and translate ideas into actionable marketing materials
- Provide general virtual assistant support to streamline business operations
- Contribute to marketing strategy development and brand positioning initiatives
Requirements
- Proven experience with Canva for creating professional marketing designs
- Strong background in social media management and content creation
- Basic WordPress skills for content management and blog publishing
- Excellent communication skills with confidence to ask clarifying questions and provide input
- Self-starter mentality with ability to take initiative and lead projects independently
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn new tools and processes
- 1-2 years of virtual assistant or marketing support experience preferred
- Comfortable with direct, collaborative communication style
- Ability to work independently while maintaining regular communication with team
