Description

 Job Description
As a Engineer in Application Support, you will play a key role in providing technical and operational support for enterprise applications across multiple platforms. You will be responsible for troubleshooting application issues, executing system maintenance tasks, and supporting deployments and data operations. This is an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in enterprise technology systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Monitor, triage, and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 application support issues.
Analyze system logs, application data, and SQL queries to investigate incidents.
Assist with report development and data extraction using Power BI, SSRS, Crystal Reports, and Cognos.
Perform data validations, ETL processes, and data transformations using SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL, SSIS, and Informatica.
Support front-end and middleware applications built on technologies like ASP.NET, C#, React, Node.js, and Java.
Maintain and support automation workflows using Power Automate and FormHero.
Create and manage tickets in ServiceNow and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents.
Assist in version control and deployments using GitHub or similar tools.
Contribute to documentation of processes, technical procedures, and configurations.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to resolve application bugs and perform UAT.
Participate in periodic disaster recovery and patching activities.

Essential Skills
Good understanding of databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS Access).
Hands-on experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, data models, and performance tuning.
Basic knowledge of reporting tools (Power BI, Crystal Reports, Cognos).
Familiarity with web technologies: HTML, JavaScript, React, ASP.NET, C#.
Understanding of enterprise application platforms: SharePoint, ServiceNow, AWS (basic exposure).
Exposure to automation tools like Power Automate and low-code platforms (e.g., Power Apps, FormHero).
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Proactive and eager to learn new tools and technologies.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and escalate issues appropriately.
