Job Summary:

The Operations Program Manager of Recruitment and Admissions Technology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Graduate School serves as a strategic individual contributor, reporting directly to the Assistant Dean of Academic Services and Recruitment. This position oversees the management, optimization, and integration of application and CRM systems, primarily Slate, to support graduate admissions and enrollment initiatives. The Operations Program Manager of Recruitment and Admissions Technology leads cross-functional efforts to analyze admissions data, streamline application workflows, and enhance the user experience for prospective students and applicants along with program faculty and staff. Acting as the primary liaison for application technologies, this position ensures systems are aligned with institutional goals and supports the Graduate School’s mission to increase enrollment and elevate program visibility.

In addition to system oversight, the Operations Program Manager of Recruitment and Admissions Technology provides high-level operational and administrative support to graduate programs and certificates administered by the Graduate School. This includes developing and implementing training materials and best practices related to recruitment, admissions, and application technology. The Operations Program Manager of Recruitment and Admissions Technology collaborates with a variety of stakeholders, including Graduate School staff, academic departments and programs, campus technology teams, and external vendors to ensure consistent and effective communication, data integrity, and compliance with campus, university, state, and federal policies. Staying current on national trends and emerging technologies, the Operations Program Manager of Recruitment and Admissions Technology plays an essential role in positioning the Graduate School as a centralized, service-based resource for graduate education at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

Key Responsibilities:

Management of Application and CRM Systems (50%)

  • Administer and optimize the Slate application system and CRM tools, including configuration, user access, and workflow design.
  • Create, update, and disseminate training documentation for Slate users across campus.
  • Collaborate with IT and external vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement system improvements.
  • Support Graduate School programs in managing decisioning workflows and maintaining data integrity within Slate.
  • Assist programs in using the Slate portal and other Slate tools to communicate application status, admission decisions, and other timely program information.

Graduate School Admissions Processing and Data Analysis (25%)

  • Oversee and monitor the workflows for uploading and processing application materials such as transcripts, written statements, and letters of recommendation.
  • Administer the Slate application fee waiver process to ensure accurate tracking.
  • Provide training and guidance on creating and managing queries in Slate and CU-SIS for recruitment and admissions data analysis.
  • Generate admissions and enrollment reports for the Graduate School and other campus stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate recording and tracking of application and admissions data across university systems.

Leadership, Advocacy, and Strategic Communication (15%)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Graduate School application processes and technology.
  • Advise Graduate School program faculty and staff on Slate policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Represent the Graduate School on committees related to admissions and Slate governance.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Dean and the Assistant Director of Marketing, Communications, and Recruitment to develop tools and processes that promote a transparent and student-centered application experience.
  • Advocate for system enhancements and policy adjustments that support the evolving needs of CU Anschutz graduate programs.

Academic Program Support and Other Duties as Assigned (10%)

  • Attend academic program events and meetings related to recruitment, admissions, and application technology.
  • Advise and provide operational support to academic programs for faculty review and application decisioning.
  • Monitor academic program staff adherence to admission decisioning processes to ensure consistency and real-time accuracy of admissions data in Slate.

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  •  4 years of professional experience with 2 years of professional experience working in an operational role within the Technolutions Slate platform

Option 1: A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in higher education admissions operations
  • Experience creating and modifying queries and reports within the Technolutions Slate platform
  • Familiarity with Oracle student information systems, Parchment, and OnBase

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE $63,554-$74,000
