Country Director will lead the company ’s operations in Zambia, ensuring strategic

driving operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, financial
sustainability, and team leadership across all provinces.

Strategic
Leadership & Expansion
- Develop and execute country-level strategies that align with the organization’s regional and global mission.
- Translate the company’s vision into actionable plans that drive impact in energy access and logistics efficiency.
- Align national initiatives with the company’s regional goals and E-IMPACT values.
- Drive innovation in solar product deployment and logistics network optimization.
- Lead the expansion of solar and productive-use energy solutions across Zambia’s provinces.
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities in renewable energy and logistics.
- Drive business development initiatives including new partnerships, product launches, and geographic expansion.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
- Navigate Zambia’s energy and logistics regulatory landscape, ensuring full compliance.
- Engage with government bodies, energy regulators, and logistics authorities to advocate for enabling policies.
- Represent the organization in national forums, policy dialogues, and sectoral working groups.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee the implementation of PAYGO solar systems and productive-use appliances.
- Manage the company’s logistics network, ensuring efficient last-mile delivery and inventory control.
- Optimize supply chain operations, fleet management, and warehouse performance.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s energy and logistics regulations.
Sales & Commercial
Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of national sales strategies for energy products and logistics services.
- Drive revenue growth through market expansion, strategic partnerships, and customer acquisition.
- Set and monitor KPIs for sales teams, agents, and regional managers.
- Oversee customer experience initiatives and retention strategies.
Financial & Risk
Management
- Manage country budgets, financial reporting, and cost controls.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to fraud, asset loss, and operational inefficiencies.
- Ensure financial sustainability and transparency in all commercial activities.
People & Culture
- Lead a diverse team of full-time staff and field agents across the company's operations.
- Foster a high-performance culture rooted in the company’s E-IMPACT values.
- Address retention challenges, promote integrity, and build leadership capacity.
- Champion professional development and ethical leadership.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, investors, government bodies, and community leaders.
- Lead fundraising and strategic collaborations to scale the company’s impact.
- Engage with regulators and partners to support policy advocacy and sector development.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Business, Logistics, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in logistics, energy access, or social enterprise.
- Proven success in managing distributed teams and complex operations.
- Strong understanding of the Zambia’s energy and logistics landscape.
- Experience with PAYGO models, last-mile delivery, and digital platforms is a plus.
