As a Principal Technical Specialist, you will develop and enhance Network Management applications for Optical Transport solutions, focusing on network configuration, fault supervision, and performance monitoring. Using Core Java, Microservices, Kafka, and Unix, you'll drive high-quality software development in distributed systems. Your expertise in RDBMS, PL-SQL, Linux, Docker, and Agile practices will help build scalable solutions. You will lead development activities, fostering innovation and continuous improvement in cutting-edge optical technologies.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of software applications for Optics Network Management, including Photonic/WDM, Optical Transport, and SDH/SONET.
- Implement solutions to enable users to control network configurations, including infrastructure management and end-to-end services.
- Develop and enhance features for fault supervision and performance monitoring to ensure optimal network efficiency.
- Design and improve the graphical user interface (GUI) for better user interaction with network elements.
- Implement algorithms and functions to simplify network management and reduce operational expenses (OPEX).
- Ensure the scalability and global deployment of applications across hundreds of installations for diverse customers.
- Collaborate with the development team on new projects and ongoing maintenance, ensuring software functionality and quality.
- Continuously improve software features and functionality to increase customer satisfaction.
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 10 to 12 years of relevant work experience.
- Motivated for high-quality software development in complex, challenging, and geographically distributed environments.
- Working knowledge of RDBMS, PL-SQL, Linux, Docker, and database concepts.
- Good understanding of continuous integration and agile practices.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Hands-on working experience with Core Java, Microservices, Kafka, and Unix.
- Experience in development activities such as requirement analysis, design, coding, and unit testing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
