Accountabilities

• Lead the design and development of complex end device systems e.g. smart meters, sensors and actuators, control devices, communication devices.
• Lead technical project planning, support technical delivery managers in project planning activities & be technical lead for execution of such plans.
• Resolve advanced technical issues and provide expert troubleshooting.
• Lead the implementation of end device systems and infrastructure.
• Ensure technical documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Lead project planning and execution.
• Conduct solution reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Maintain and optimise end device systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
• Act as an escalation point for troubleshooting from junior engineers.

Skills

• End device engineering - knowledge of end device systems and infrastructure
• Diagnostic tools & technical problem solving skills - proficiency in diagnostic engineering tools and software
• IoT Communication Protocols - knowledge of IoT standards in LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, RF or Cellular IoT technologies
• RF Theory - knowledge of RF fundamentals
• Analytical and technical problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
• Communication skills - collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical info and provide training or support
• Attention to detail - keen attention to detail in identifying defects and ensuring accuracy
• Project management - ability to manage one or multiple projects or project tasks and meet deadlines

Knowledge & Experience

• Established experience in IoT end device engineering or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices in end device systems relating to LoRaWAN, NB-IoT or Cellular IoT technologies.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS systems is a plus.

Qualifications: A degree (or equivalent experience) in Systems

Engineering, Electronics, or a related field is advantageous.
