Accountabilities
- Lead the design and development of complex end device systems e.g. smart meters, sensors and actuators, control devices, communication devices.
- Lead technical project planning, support technical delivery managers in project planning activities & be technical lead for execution of such plans.
- Resolve advanced technical issues and provide expert troubleshooting.
- Lead the implementation of end device systems and infrastructure.
- Ensure technical documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Lead project planning and execution.
- Conduct solution reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Maintain and optimise end device systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
- Act as an escalation point for troubleshooting from junior engineers.
Skills
- End device engineering - knowledge of end device systems and infrastructure
- Diagnostic tools & technical problem solving skills - proficiency in diagnostic engineering tools and software
- IoT Communication Protocols - knowledge of IoT standards in LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, RF or Cellular IoT technologies
- RF Theory - knowledge of RF fundamentals
- Analytical and technical problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Communication skills - collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical info and provide training or support
- Attention to detail - keen attention to detail in identifying defects and ensuring accuracy
- Project management - ability to manage one or multiple projects or project tasks and meet deadlines
Knowledge & Experience
- Established experience in IoT end device engineering or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices in end device systems relating to LoRaWAN, NB-IoT or Cellular IoT technologies.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with AWS systems is a plus.

Qualifications: A degree (or equivalent experience) in Systems
Engineering, Electronics, or a related field is advantageous.
