What You Will Gain From this Role:

  • Ability to work in direct collaboration with distribution partners, strategic customers and Field Sales teams to eliminate revenue disruption and drive supply chain improvements 
  • A unique understanding of how TI transacts business with our Customers to allow orders and critical information to flow seamlessly
  • Knowledge and exposure to various functions and business processes within TI including but not limited to Inventory and Product Operations, Logistics, Receivables & Credits, Pricing Execution, Customer Onboarding, etc. 

Business Summary:  Japan Customer Operations team is focused on eliminating barriers to achieving annual revenue plans by driving optimal backlog coverage and proactive order management.  The Customer Operations role is responsible for working with distributors, customers, Business Units, Pricing Execution, Logistic, Customer Onboarding and Field Sales teams in order to meet these objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Optimization & Customer Satisfaction: Identify weaknesses in customer supply chains and implement tailored solutions, while using market intelligence to enhance forecasting and anticipate disruptions for improved customer satisfaction.

Supply/Demand & Backlog Management: Analyze supply and demand, optimize internal processes and customer behavior, and monitor backlog vs. shipment variances to improve reporting and eliminate gaps in demand forecasting.

Business Relationship: Develop strong relationships with the supply chain community both internally and externally, gaining knowledge of customer procurement practices to eliminate the barriers. Strengthen relationships and go deeper with our customers, to achieve more revenue.

Process Efficiency & Continuous Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies within Customer Operations and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and streamline operations via the use of automation.

Logistics & Transportation Optimization: Improving inbound/outbound transportation flows, improve network efficiency between factories and distribution centers, and manage direct product deliveries to customers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics/Management Information Systems or related business field
  • Japanese language skills: Above N1 and native level
  • English language skills: Minimum TOEIC 850 and able to communicate fluently with native speakers including efficient email writing skills, presentation skills, business meetings

  • Working experience in  Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistic and Operational Processes
  • Understanding of TI Planning Systems and WW Manufacturing Operations.
