We are seeking a strategic and process-driven Procurement Business Process Director to lead the transformation and optimization of procurement operations across global indirect categories. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving procurement processes, systems, and governance frameworks to support scalability, compliance, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in procurement operations, business process reengineering, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement.

Strategic Process Leadership

  • Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end procurement processes (Source-to-Contract, Procure-to-Pay, Supplier Lifecycle Management).
  • Drive standardization and automation of procurement workflows across regions and categories.
  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure process efficiency, compliance, and value delivery.

Transformation & Change Management

  • Partner with category directors and functional leaders (HR, Finance, Legal, IT) to align procurement processes with business needs.
  • Lead change management initiatives to embed new ways of working and ensure adoption of tools and processes.
  • Serve as the business process owner for procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle).

Governance & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain procurement policies, controls, and audit readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations across all procurement activities.
  • Lead risk assessments and mitigation strategies related to supplier performance and contractual obligations.

Digital Enablement

  • Collaborate with IT and data teams to enhance procurement analytics, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Champion digital procurement initiatives including AI-driven sourcing, contract lifecycle management, and supplier portals.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead a team of process excellence managers and analysts.
  • Build organizational capability through training, coaching, and best practice sharing.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a process leadership or transformation role.
  • Proven track record of leading global procurement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement systems and digital tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa).
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification is a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience managing large-scale procurement transformation programs.
  • Familiarity with indirect procurement categories such as HR, Legal, Marketing, and Professional Services.
  • Background in shared services or global business services (GBS) environments.

Salary Range: $170,000 to $180,000. Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including your qualifications, skills, competencies, geographic location, internal equity, and relevant experience. You may also be eligible to participate in a long-term incentive plan and a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the plan and/or program, whereby an award, if any, may depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
