Our Core Infrastructure PM team works closely with our engineering peers to expand, improve, and optimize our large-scale distributed system to deliver a secure, reliable, performant, and cost-efficient service to our customers and Microsoft. Our team is driving the vision to scale our service to the next level and provide a platform for all of M365. We also dive into a wide range of areas such as networking, directory services, storage, and secret management. We collaborate with our peers in our organization as well as our colleagues responsible for our Azure ecosystem to find and deliver the best solutions for our customers.
We are looking for a talented Senior Product Manager who is passionate about scaling a large-scale service to the next level while keeping our customers safe and satisfied. You will learn about our service architecture and help define the vision and strategy to get us to our goal and support all of M365. You will use data to identify key insights that you will use to prioritize our work. You will partner with our engineering team to define and design best practices and patterns, and you will work with other teams to drive improvements across the service.

Responsibilities
- Partner across Microsoft to understand business goals, user needs, collect requirements, and synthesize product plans to deliver maximum impact across all areas.
- Partner with engineering to evolve our architecture to optimize service scale, product performance and cost.
- Successfully validate and improve our infrastructure over time through data analysis and experimentation.
- Manage dependencies across teams to ensure that features land on time with the required scope.
- Collaborate with senior technical leadership across the company to set direction and roadmap.
- Regularly present new product plans, strategy, demos, competitive reviews, and more to the leadership team.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product management or software development
- 5+ years of delivering large scale cloud services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
- OR equivalent experience.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
- 2+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
- 4+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
- 4+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).
- A track-record of owning technical and architectural decisions for a software or hardware product.
- Full stack product management or software engineering experience.
- OR equivalent experience.
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
