We’re looking for a UX Engineer 2 who thrives at the intersection of design, engineering, and AI. In this role, you’ll operate as a true hybrid: designer and developer/prototyper, bringing bold ideas to lifeinfluencing strategy, and inspiring innovation to shape the future of AI experiencesYou’ll translate complex systems into elegant, scalable solutions and push the boundaries of what’s possible in enterprise UX. From rapid concepting to long-term vision, you’ll collaborate closely with researchers, designers, PMs, and engineers in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Responsibilities

  • Design and ship world-class AI-infused products from concept to code, with a focus on craft, quality, trust, and impact. 
  • Use cutting-edge AI tools and frameworks to accelerate and elevate your design process while preserving thoughtful, human-centered design. 
  • Apply systems thinking to reinforce design system integrity and product cohesion. 
  • Create wireframes, journey maps, and prototypes or working front-end code to iterate and validate ideas. 
  • Contribute directly to front-end implementation, ensuring design intent is realized in product. 
  • Collaborate with leadership to shape product narratives, architectures, and long-term vision. 

Qualifications

Required Qualfications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design, Product Design, Visual Design, Human Computer Interaction or related field AND 2+ years experience working in product or service design and/or shipping production code
  • 1+ year(s) of experience designing AI-powered experiences and working knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs). 
  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:  Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Figma and a range of design processes including journey mapping, design sprints, and prototyping. 
  • Interaction and visual design skills with hands-on experience creating wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and design artifacts in fast-paced tech environments. 
  • Front-end development skills with proficiency in React and a solid understanding of design systems and component libraries. 
  • Communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills with the ability to scope, prioritize, and lead design efforts independently. 
  • Maintaining a high bar for craft, usability, and user impact.
  • Interest in deep learning and NL/ML using Python 
  • Experience within the Security, Compliance, or Identity domains 
  • Experience in Enterprise UX 
  • Experience with AI-assisted creation tools is highly valued (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Lovable AI, Claude) 

UX Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
