Job Title - Database Administrator

The Purpose of This Role

We are looking for Oracle DBA to be working on Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Exadata and Goldengate. The role requires thorough understanding of database concepts, architecture and best practices. 14 x 7 on-call for Production support, database maintenance, patching and upgrades is expected on a rotational basis.

The candidate will be implementing and supporting multiple Oracle database on premise and Amazon AWS EC2 (IaaS). Key roles and responsibilities will be provisioning, implementation, migration and ongoing administration and monitoring support for Oracle Database and AWS EC2. In addition, candidate will support Fidelity’s most critical RDBMS stack including Oracle, Exadata, Goldengate and Oracle on EC2.
 

The Skills that are Key to this role

Technical / Behavioral

• Should have strong and fully hands-on Production Oracle dba experience dealing with on-call and change management process.
• Administration of Oracle 11g & 12c RAC/Standalone databases on Unix
• Should be expert in RAC troubleshooting.
• Install, Upgrade and Patching of Oracle RAC cluster and databases
• RMAN backup and restore
• Administration of  Data Guard, OEM, ASM, ACFS,  ZFS
• Basic knowledge of AWS or Azure is a big plus.
• Commitment to quality and high standards
• Excellent communication skills demonstrating clear and compelling arguments to communicate solutions using information and assumptions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work as part of and with high performing and aggressive teams
• Positive team player, ability to effectively communicate with peers, customers and management
• The Skills that are Good To Have for this role
• Good to have AWS Solution Architect or any other AWS certification.
• Experience on NoSQL databases.
• Multiple scripting languages like shell, Perl and Python.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• 2 to 4 years of DBA/IT experience
• Graduate degree or above. (BE , BCA + MCA)
• Location: Bangalore (EGL)
• Shift timings: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM
