Job Title: Manager, Credit & Leasing 

Job Summary:

Provides category expertise with deep knowledge of the supply market, conduct supply market analysis, identify potential supply, and demand challenges/ opportunities and monitor technological advances. Responsible for the entire credit granting process. This includes the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and assessing the creditworthiness of potential customers. 

Responsibility:

Credit approval authority up to $TBD commensurate with experience. 

Financial analysis and tracking of key ratios for major Skyjack customers. 

Work with accounting office staff to ensure Principal and interest breakdowns for various deposits are completed. 

Ensure that every finance arrangement is entered and tracked in the system and that invoicing is completed and processed in a timely manner. 

Track customer credit lines and ensure they are renewed or extended annually 

Manage all finance deals in the system including calculating subsidies and amortizations. 

Work closely with management in directing and controlling resources. 

Maintain and make recommendations regarding a system of internal control. 

Co-ordinate and participate in the preparation of the Five-Year Annual Business Plan as it relates to the sale of existing portfolios. 

  •  Ensure that all positions within the department are filled with the appropriate people. 
  • Available for special corporate assignments as requested. 
  • Ensure that employee evaluations are conducted on or before the due date. 
  • Perform other duties/tasks as assigned 

Work with territory managers by creating and recommending programs, incentives, and sales tools to maximize the results of a geographically disbursed team. 

Fosters a culture of creativity, continuous learning and enthusiasm about team and individual success 

Work with Sales teams in establishing annual forecasts of business for Skyjack Customers and establishing the necessary credit lines for these customers. 

Manage relationships with 3rd party Financiers to provide financing for customers where Skyjack or other preferred partners have reached their limits. 

Interface with Export Development Canada (EDC) for global financing transactions. 

Academic/Educational Requirements:

A college degree with an emphasis on Finance or work experience in captive or commercial equipment finance or banking.   

Required Skills Experience:

A minimum of five years' leadership experience in commercial equipment finance or banking would be preferred. 

Ability to Prepare financial summaries and interpret financial health of organization related to the extension of credit and where needed for collection and workout situations. 

Ability to develop appropriate budgets and evaluate financial records. 

Ability to make sound financial decisions and change accounting procedures as needed. 

 Ability to notify and report to senior management concerning any trends critical to organization’s performance. 

Ability to Interact with co-workers and accountants and act as a liaison between different departments. 

 Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of applicable software programs. 

Continuously maintain current knowledge of all organizational accounting practices through seminars, webinars and professional conferences as needed. 

Familiarity with T-Value software 

Knowledge of credit scoring functions.
