Part Time or Full Time Training Consultant (at the rank of Research Officer) in the Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 533298)

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Training Delivery: Conduct comprehensive training sessions and workshops across various disciplines within the Centre.
  • Content Creation: Write engaging content for the Centre, encompassing a wide range of publications and training materials, both print and digital.
  • Professional Consulting: Provide expert advice to enhance the Centre's operations and the execution of diverse projects.
  • Diverse Role Fulfillment: Take on a variety of ad hoc responsibilities as directed by the Centre's Director or their designate
  • Flexible Schedule: Be prepared to work outside of standard office hours, including weekends, to meet the Centre's objectives.

Requirements

  • possess a Master’s degree in clinical psychology and at least 5 years of clinical, academic or professional experience; preferably have community services experience
  • strong leadership, self-motivated and responsible
  • an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese)
  • good interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • the ability to work on a tight schedule to meet project deadlines
  • the ability to work independently and in a team
  • familiarity with the local education system with experience working with schools and managing educational research projects as an advantage

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
