Why Your Role Matters
As Operations Manager your focus will be driving the Division’s strategic plan into actionable outcomes. Step into a role delivering high-quality support and insights, assisting senior leadership in shaping business strategy, governance, and service delivery, and building strong partnerships across UNSW encouraging cross functional and cross unit collaboration.
Your day-to-day focus will include:-
- Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide timely advice and feedback on operational matters
- Project & Business Process Oversight- Lead initiatives and projects across the Division, supporting the Director of Operations (DoD) and VP Operations to operationalise the Division of Operations strategic plan
- Process Improvement –Collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous process improvement initiatives
- Workforce Planning and Management- Oversee effective long-term resource planning and management, maintaining business continuity plans
- Governance and Compliance- Ensuring robust governance and risk management across Leadership papers, report and presentations, as well as operational activities.
Sitting in the Office of Vice- President, Operations Office, the role reports to the Director of Operations and has one direct report
- Who you are
- Opportunity for dynamic and motivated professional to bring existing operations experience to provide strategic advice and hands on delivery expertise to the Division.
- You will hold the following skills and experience:
- Proven skills and experience in strategic and operational planning within the higher education (or equivalent), goal setting and project management.
- Demonstrated success designing and delivering strategies, programs and initiatives.
- Ability to lead, motivate and train team members, to establish priorities and manage competing deadlines for self and others.
- Excellent consultation, influencing and negotiation skills and proven ability to engage effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
- High level organisational skills with proven ability to deal with multiple tasks, establish priorities and meet deadlines.
- Advanced level of computer literacy, working with a range of computer systems and applications.
