We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Chief Financial Officer. In this role, you'll provide strategic financial leadership, manage financial planning and analysis, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the organization's mission to provide high-quality health care services to the community. Essential Job Duties:

Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and mission.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to support executive decision-making.

Financial Management

  • Direct all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, billing, and revenue cycle management.
  • Monitor financial performance, forecasts, and budgets, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to internal leadership and regulatory bodies

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including HRSA guidelines.
  • Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risk.
  • Oversee external audits and regulatory reviews.

Grants Management

  • Manage financial aspects of grants, including budget development, reporting, and compliance.
  • Partner with program managers to ensure effective use of funds in line with grant requirements. 

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance staff to foster accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee hiring, engagement, and professional development of finance team members in alignment with organizational policies and employment law.

Collaboration & Relationships

  • Collaborate with executives and department leaders to support organizational objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including funders, banks, and vendors.
  • Serve as a positive role model and leader across the organization.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in a health care or nonprofit environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, including HRSA guidelines.
  • Proven track record of financial leadership, strategic planning, and execution.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with a focus on team building, coaching, and development.
