We're looking for a Community Liaison Worker who is ready to roll up their sleeves and take action—supporting our overdose prevention efforts, raising awareness about treatment options, and distributing life-saving Naloxone. This is your chance to be at the forefront of community health, driving change where it's needed most.

About The Role:

As a Community Liaison Worker, you'll play a vital role in implementing outreach strategies to engage individuals and communities affected by Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). You’ll help integrate harm reduction programs into our behavioral health services, train others in Naloxone use, and support access to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) through our HOPE/MAT Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our Director of Social Services and Clinical Manager of Addiction Services to achieve program goals. 
  • Conduct in-house and off-site Naloxone training and distribute Naloxone kits. 
  • Support data collection, reporting, and quality assurance for grant-funded initiatives. 
  • Work closely with internal departments and community partners to promote treatment access and overdose prevention. 
  • Represent our health center at community events and develop meaningful outreach plans with our Marketing and Community Relations team. 

What You'Ll Bring:

  • A passion for serving communities affected by substance use disorders. 
  • Strong knowledge of East New York, Brownsville, and neighboring communities. 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Electronic Health Records. 
  • Comfort navigating diverse community settings and building trusting relationships. 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a huge plus
Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency required.  
  • Must pass a writing skills test during the interview process.  
  • Completion of the 3-Hour Training of Trainers (TOT) for Naloxone (or willingness to complete).  
  • Compassion, cultural humility, and a commitment to community well-being.  

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.  
  • Must be able to travel locally and carry up to 15 lbs of training materials and kits.
