Description
Position Summary:
A product manager's job involves driving a product's vision and strategy, overseeing its development lifecycle, and ensuring its successful launch and ongoing performance by acting as the voice of the business and balancing company goals with user needs. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, communication, and an understanding of both the technical and functional aspects of policy, billing and auditing management system(s).
The candidate must be adept at working independently while fostering collaboration across teams. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for managing multiple priorities, including helping execute the product strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Identify and champion customer needs, define requirements, and help execute the product's strategic direction.
- Conduct market research, analyze competitor activity to help identify industry trends, and gather user feedback to inform product decisions.
- Work with the business, IT and vendors to translate product requirements into actionable development plans and roadmaps.
- Develop and execute product launch plans, coordinating with marketing to ensure successful systems introduction to internal and external users and our program partners.
- Act as the central point of contact to build and maintain strong, productive relationships with vendors including auditing invoices and adherence to contract terms.
- Track/audit product performance against best practices and key metrics and goals, making data-driven adjustments for continuous improvement. This includes pulling sample policies and verifying proper workflow practices and rating calculations.
- Communicate with and influence various internal teams (key stakeholders, business units, IT, supporting departments) and external stakeholders. This includes leading weekly joint working sessions with internal users and vendors.
- Provide personalized support to business users working closely with vendors, IT and internal departments.
- Test application configurations and workflows to ensure proper data integration and functionality.
- Draft user training/manuals for internal and external users. Provide training sessions as needed.
- Provide support and training to new programs/partners utilizing our system platforms.
- Support the development of automated testing scripts, where applicable.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years’ experience being a business analyst and/or system administrator on implementation projects required.
- Experience working with senior decision makers required.
- 5-10 years’ P&C Insurance policy and billing systems experience required.
- Proven background of analytical thinking and problem solving
- Organizational change management experience required.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office (Including Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
- Proficiency with MS Visio (process mapping) preferred.
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking.

Working Conditions:
