GBS Standardization - Subject Matter Expert (Temporary)

The GBS Standardization SME will be responsible for providing functional expertise by conducting a thorough analysis of the current AS-IS process and driving the creation of the Gold Standard. This includes defining processes, systems, channels, organizational responsibilities, controls, metrics, and KPIs. The role will also identify process input and output dependencies, ensuring integration with respective workstreams for an end-to-end process design. Close collaboration with IT is required to define and document system requirements, while operational teams will be consulted regarding KPIs, automation, macros, bots, and other automation suggestions before the Gold Standard is finalized. The SME will work closely with BTS, functional counterparts, market representatives, and GBS experts to gather inputs and align on deliverables that support standardization

In addition, the SME will create comprehensive process documentation, including agreed-upon exceptions in line with documentation governance, and coordinate the proposed standard processes to secure approval from SDDs and other stakeholders. The role will also support the creation of the standardization scope and roadmap within the sub-function or workstream, develop effective training materials, provide input for the training roadmap, and where needed, facilitate training on the new standards. Further responsibilities include participating in User Acceptance Tests, creating test scripts, reporting risks or issues, supporting data migration, and contributing to change management.

This is a temporary role until December 2026 and reports directly to the Standardization Director

As the GBS Standardization - Subject Matter Expert under the area of Standardization, you will be doing the following:

1.) Process Design and Analysis: You will be responsible for delivering functional expertise by conducting a thorough analysis of the current AS-IS process to provide valuable insights. Working in collaboration with key stakeholders, you will co-create and develop the TO-BE standard, which will cover processes, systems, channels, organizational responsibilities, controls, metrics, and KPIs. In addition, you will work closely with IT to define and document system requirements and support the preparation of a comprehensive fit-gap analysis to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement

2.) Process Standard Documentation: In liaison with Delivery colleagues, you will create comprehensive process documents, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and flowcharts, in line with defined standards. It will also document agreed deviations and exceptions, coordinate the proposed standard processes along with any approved deviations to secure sign-off from all SDDs, and ensure that any necessary changes are reflected in the Service Catalogue (Portfolio) to maintain accurate and up-to-date information

3.) Training, End-User Enablement and Change Management: In liaison with Delivery colleagues and the Functional Training team, you will create effective training materials to support and enhance the learning experience for new standard processes and systems. You will also provide input to the development of the training roadmap to ensure efficient execution of training sessions, as well as facilitate comprehensive training to build team proficiency in the new processes and system standards. You will also support change management activities, including change impact assessments and related initiatives

4.) Testing: You will assist in creating test scripts that align with newly established standards and actively participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for applicable systems. You will also be responsible for promptly reporting any identified risks or issues to the Project Manager (PM), as well as providing support for data migration and resolving any related issues as needed

  • Experience in respective function, in GBS environment
  • Project involvement (or management) experience
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken)
  • Excellent knowlegde and understanding of the respective functional area 
  • Fluency in usage of relevant functional systems and applications
  • Strong process knowlegde and understanding
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Presentation Skills
  • Project management skills will be an asset
  • Knowledgeable with SAP and MS Office tools
