What is the job about?

The Senior AP&AR Accountant is the overall responsible for the SSC activities of the assigned companies/regions. Ensures true and fair picture of the reconciliations and internal controls. The Senior AP&AR  Accountant analyses financial data, prepare financial reporting, reconciliations and relevant explanation of statements and differences.    

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Leads the operation of accounting activities and ensures the timely fulfilment of all reporting requirements and compliance related requests according to Grundfos accounting principles, acts as gatekeeper
  • Understands all accounting standards related to AP, AR and GL for the entity in case of problems follows up on the resolution
  • Drives and controls MEC and YEC act as a single point of contact of the region/sub-team
  • Provides functional support for handling escalations and propose further actions if needed
  • Supports stakeholders by providing information based on analysis of accounting
  • Supports audit in case of questions, represents the FSS activities related to the entity
  • Coordinates and lead migration activities and enforce standard process splits are followed
  • Ensures that documentation is complete, up-to-date, in line with Finance Excellence and available
  • Is aware of the risks and understands and maintains controls, ensures that IC controls are delivered as required
  • Is responsible for analysing KPI-s and following up problems, and proposing necessary corrective actions
  • Assists in planning and implementing department goals and makes recommendations to management to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Operates one finance team, organises collaboration forums, cares for meeting documentation
  • Keeps contact with the affected stakeholders and key contact persons and ensures the proper information flow both ways
  • Ensures “no surprises” environment, informs partners about problems and changes
  • Proactively interacts with stakeholders to raise awareness of issues encountered along with any actions taken to support resolution
  • Is accountable for the work of the team members
  • Allocates and prioritises tasks among team members to meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Takes responsibility over the quality of the books, by reviewing controls and reconciliations
  • Provide functional guidance, training and assistance to team members
  • Seeks for continuous improvement opportunities and increase the quality of service
  • Responsible for implementing process improvements or process standardizations
  • Active involvement in the related projects
  • Identifies skill gaps and gives input to line manager for individual development plans
  • Gives input into individual performance review (PDD)
  • Supports audit processes during system/process audits (internal and external)

Your Background

We Imagine That You Have:

  • Most likely to have 5 years’ experience in the field of AR, AP or GL
  • Good accounting knowledge
  • Advanced level of English (any other European language knowledge is an advantage)
  • Good understanding and overview of the end-to-end SSC processes
  • Experience in driving projects or process improvement initiatives in an SSC environment
  • Solid Excel knowledge
  • Any ERP (incl. SAP ) knowledge is an advantage
  • Communicative, people oriented personality
  • Good team player and also able to decide independently
  • Systematic and quality-oriented way of working
  • Distinct flexibility and capacity to work under pressure with regard to function and time
  • Sense of duty and responsibility
