Brief introduction - Role Summary
This role is responsible for strategically sourcing all flavor and specialty ingredients, leveraging deep market expertise to navigate global supply dynamics, cost drivers, and emerging ingredient trends. This role involves proactive collaboration with global procurement and flavor teams to identify and develop suppliers, ensuring a resilient and competitive ingredient portfolio. The manager will apply their market insights to continuously improve procurement processes across Colgate India and its subsidiaries, contributing directly to strategic supply chain planning and business growth.
 
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Colgate-Palmolive Product Development team to identify and develop flavor ingredient suppliers that align with the global flavors sourcing strategy
• Work closely with Flavors global procurement team run global RFPs for materials for India and other colgate subsidiaries
• Support the development and execution of procurement strategies for India and South Asia flavor materials through applying Holistic Risk management and developing short and long term FTG pipelines
• Prepare comprehensive reports and strategic proposals on flavor ingredient sourcing, outlining recommendations to maximize cost savings, enhance quality, and improve supply chain efficiencies.
• Actively engage with and visit suppliers to foster strong relationships, evaluate capabilities, assess new innovations, and explore potential partnerships that align with Colgate-Palmolive's global sourcing strategy and our SRM guidelines
• Serve as the market expert for flavor and specialty ingredients, continuously monitoring industry trends, market conditions, and emerging supply chain risks, and identifying opportunities for optimization
• Implement and oversee procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with APAC Centre of Excellence ( COE ) driving data insights and analytics to summarize , synthesize and identify new opportunities. 
• Participate in key flavor procurement projects and prioritize and work closely with Division and Global Procurement, E2E Supply Chain & Commercial Leadership Team

Experiences

• A minimum of 10  years of experience in  Procurement or Supply Chain.
• A minimum of 5 years experience working with the flavor and fragrance industry.
• Candidates must have experience in flavor and fragrance ingredients procurement and an experience with Indian Mint and its components 
• Candidates must exhibit excellent influencing, analytical and organizational skills as well as written and verbal communication skills. 
• Self-starter, with the ability to work independently
• This position requires strong interpersonal and communication and cross functional and cross geography
• Past experience in Direct Materials, Category Management along with cost planning exercise is a key 

Required  Qualifications:

• Flavor Procurement experience, including Mint sourcing expertise is must
• Bachelor degree is required
• An advanced degree (MBA) is desirable
