Job Description

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Ignitis Renewables Latvia team, where you’ll help ensure the technical and commercial viability of our renewable energy assets. Your role will be key in facilitating collaboration and overseeing commercial activities to support the smooth operation and integration of local assets. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team!

You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

• Taking commercial responsibility for your appointed assets (PV projects in operational phase)
• Preparing comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders (e.g., investors, banks) and senior management, providing accurate and timely information on asset performance, financial metrics, and key operational insights
• Preparing, aligning, and managing budgets, including deviation analysis and financial reporting
• Handling regulatory reporting (e.g., ACER) and maintaining effective communication with local regulators and transmission system operators (TSOs)
• Supporting insurance processes, including risk coverage data collection, claims handling, and documentation updates
• Working closely with commercial and technical teams to monitor and optimise asset performance throughout the lifecycle of PV farms
• Overseeing and resolving commercial project issues in coordination with internal teams
• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a commercial or financial role
• Solid understanding of financial statements, including profit and loss accounts and balance sheets
• Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently, taking ownership of assigned Wind/PV assets
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders across multiple countries, along with strong communication skills to explain complex financial or commercial topics clearly
• Proficiency in Latvian and English (oral and written) as this role involves regular communication with international colleagues and partners.

Would be an advantage

• Understanding of energy markets, policy and regulation, and knowledge of renewable generation-specific applications and opportunities.
