We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic sales leader at the DVP/VP level with a proven track record in institutional sales and family office relationships. This role requires an experienced professional who can drive strategic business growth, deepen existing client relationships, and expand the firm’s reach within the institutional investor and family office ecosystem. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of the investment landscape, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to craft bespoke solutions that align with clients’ financial objectives.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead institutional sales initiatives, targeting pension funds, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, asset managers, and other institutional investors.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to expand the firm’s footprint within the family office segment, building long-term trusted partnerships.
- Identify, prospect, and onboard new clients while nurturing existing relationships to increase wallet share and client satisfaction.
- Partner closely with investment, product, and strategy teams to deliver customized solutions and differentiated offerings tailored to client needs.
- Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, and client meetings to enhance brand presence and thought leadership.
- Drive business development activities, including structuring client pitches, preparing marketing materials, and managing the end-to-end sales cycle.
- Provide insights on market trends, competitor activities, and evolving client preferences to influence product innovation and positioning.
- Ensure compliance with internal risk and regulatory guidelines while engaging with clients.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture and knowledge sharing within the sales team.
Required Skills And Competencies:
- Strong expertise in institutional sales with a deep network across institutional investors, including domestic and global players.
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with family offices, understanding their unique investment needs and governance frameworks.
- Exceptional sales acumen with demonstrated success in achieving revenue and business development targets.
- Strong knowledge of financial products, capital markets, and investment strategies, enabling meaningful client conversations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Strategic mindset with a client-first approach, adept at aligning solutions to client requirements.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
Qualifications:
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CA, or MBA from a reputed institution are preferred.
- 10–24 years of progressive experience in sales, institutional relationship management, or investment distribution, with a strong track record in delivering business growth.
