What’S The Role?
If you’re the go-to person, the one who answers the questions, with the know-how to keep facilities running like clockwork, we have opportunities for Carpenters to join our Building Maintenance team, working a Fly-In-Fly-Out 14/7-day roster at Weipa region in Far North Qld.
You will work closely with the Maintenance Manager to tackle various tasks, repair and refurbish equipment and ensure job requests and work orders are entered into the maintenance tracking system.
Key Duties Will Include:
- Door replacements
- Replacing/installing locksets
- Wall Lining replacement and repairs
- Flooring and Metal Roofing replacement and repairs - including flashings and cappings.
- Plasterboard ceiling replacements including flushing
- Carpentry replacements (Cupboards and Draws)
- Framing /Partition construction.
Qualifications And Experience:
- Trade Certificate in Carpentry
- C Class Driver’s License
- Commitment to Safety in the workplace
- Physically fit and able to work in diverse weather conditions
- Carpentry experience at a remote site camp, village or property maintenance
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external clients
- Excellent attention detail and the be able to provide professional customer service ensuring exceptional presentation to client/customer satisfaction
- Proven time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads
It is not essential but highly advantageous to have the below:
- Licence to Perform High Risk Work - LF
- S11 and Coal Board Medical advantageous (not mandatory)
