How You Make A Difference
The Clinical Supervisor will oversee the delivery of mental health services to inmates at the facility, providing clinical direction and supervision to mental health professionals. They will utilize their professional training and experience, such as being a psychologist, to ensure the provision of high-quality mental health care. Additionally, they will facilitate effective communication with facility staff to ensure the smooth delivery of mental health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and supervise mental health staff and services at the institutional level while ensuring compliance with the standards of the American Psychological Association and company policies and procedures.
- Provide clinical direction and oversight to mental health professionals, assign duties, and provide clinical supervision while ensuring the development of staff through education and training.
- Oversee mental health treatment planning for inmates, provide clinical direction and oversight to the activity therapy program and review mental health service documentation.
- Develop and implement goals and objectives for clinical services while ensuring that facility policies and procedures meet recognized standards and the institution's General Orders.
- Provide clinical oversight for crisis intervention services, review clinical service reports, and notify the appropriate personnel of clinical concerns and incidents.

Education
- Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited college or university
Experience
- Experience with mental health service delivery systems. Need significant professional experience in the mental health field that indicates knowledge of supervision techniques, peer review, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders and psychological evaluation techniques.
Licenses/Certifications
- Licensed to practice psychology in the State by the appropriate state licensing board. Must maintain CPR certification, and any other certifications (such as First Aid) required by contract.
