We are currently looking for a Manager for the Maintenance Operations of our A320/1 and B787 fleets. This includes leading the Maintenance Planning and Maintenance Watch functions for our fleets to ensure our assets are safe, compliant, reliable and efficient. This position is the key focal point within Engineering for airline operations and is designated as a Responsible Manager under CASA Part 42 legislation.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, your main accountabilities will include:
- Lead a team of up to 40 including four direct reports
- Daily operations management, disruption recovery, defect rectification and compliance control
- Assist AMO organisations with meeting seasonal maintenance demand and building associated manpower models
- Lead maintenance planning to ensure efficiency and elimination of process waste
- Work with Fleet Managers to establish and adhere to fleet health and cabin defect targets
- Resource planning and management of workload during peaks and trough periods
- Be the key representative in the Engineering department to ensure capabilities in scheduling and resourcing when new routes are implemented
- Engage with AMO's to adjust capacity
- Provide strategic input towards the broader business including Network and Fleet Planning
- Continually drive business improvement initiatives across the department including process optimisation and technology enablers
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Jetstar leadership stakeholders, CASA, OEMs and external vendors
We’re on the hunt for someone who:
- LAME qualification or Professional Engineer coupled with tertiary qualifications in Aviation/Engineering/Management
- Capable of communicating with a range of stakeholders including engineers and senior leaders
- Deep understanding of maintenance or manufacturing planning in an aviation or aerospace environment
- Deep understanding of Aircraft Engineering
- Strong capability in change management and lean practices
- Experience in maintenance control or a similar role within aviation
- Excellent negotiation skills to manage the delivery of complex projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement experience, especially with senior management teams
- Proven success in leadership positions
