About The Role
Reporting to the regional finance management and in coordination with regional product management, the Regional Operation Controller will review and strengthen operation controls where necessary, assist the entities in the implementation of operation process following internal policies and internal controls standards, as well as drive action on process improvements to achieve targets.
What you will doing
- 1. Operation Control / KPI and Process Improvement
- 2. Communication/ animation/ training
- Ensure reliable data entry in TMS to maintain a high level of reporting reliability;
- Monitor the day to day quality from jobfile creation, jobfile financial integrity to ensure operational and financial data is recognised on time and accurately, prevent potential issues from escalating into larger proportions;
- Produce monthly ops control KPI dashboard for regional performance;
- Detail reason for KPI deviations, communicate with relevant internal stakeholders to understand in-depth issues, propose corrective actions with committed timeline for resolution.
- Provide monthly summary to regional management for all achieved and non-achieved proposed solution;
- Upon in-depth analysis of issue, to spot recurring trend and/or non-productive process flow, to highlight to local OC and management for joint review existing process, assist to formulate improvised process and explore constantly areas of productivity improvement;
- Drive periodic TMS user access review exercise;
- Ad hoc request from management to support analysis of business outlook.
- Communicate and assist to deploy new Group/ Regional procedures and share good practices within the Region;
- Support local teams (operational, finance functions) to implement new procedures and/or adapt to local context; which must be in line with Group/ Regional principles;
- Organize training and awareness sessions on operation control standards within the Region;
- Actively engage with internal control to ensure compliance with existing CEVA Logistics policies, propose process improvements, and conduct regular assessments to identify risks and recommend corrective actions;
- Support internal audits and controls, assist local teams during audit/review phases, and follow up on action plans to resolve issues;
- Participate in transverse and ad hoc projects, IT solutions, new business initiatives giving an operation control point of view and ensuring appropriate processes and controls are implemented.
The Successful Candidate
Essential
- At least a Degree holder in Finance, International Business Studies, MIS or relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance / Operations / Project implementation & Deployment
- Proven experience in freight forwarding or logistic industry with a focus on business operations.
- Strong background in accounting and business partnering.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written, oral)
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to gather, organize, and interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Effective presentation skills—able to prepare and deliver clear, impactful presentations to senior management.
- Critical thinking to deep dive and analyse the root cause.
- Proactive in driving continuous improvement and developing new ways of working.
- Able to manage complex challenges, simplify problems, and recommend pragmatic solutions.
- Strong influence and persuasion skills, with the ability to engage and convince stakeholders.
Desirable
- Exposure to business intelligence tools is a plus (Power BI)
- Previous experience with CargoWise system or OFS system will be desirable
- Prior experience in team management will be a plus
