Job Description
The Vice President, Enterprise Systems will lead the strategy, governance, implementation, integration, evolution and optimization efforts in relation to a wide suite of commercial enterprise platforms that power Nearmap's growth. The role will be responsible for achieving best-practices outcomes across a wide range of systems including multiple CRM instances (Salesforce), ERP (NetSuite), CPQ/CLM (Conga), CSM (Gainsight), Microsoft 365 as well as a multitude of other enterprise applications, tools and add-ons, ensuring they are designed, implemented, integrated and managed to enable efficiency, scalability, and innovation. This role will also oversee physical IT infrastructure across our global offices.
The VP Enterprise Systems will manage a distributed global team spanning US, Australia and Poland, with functions including but not limited to enterprise architecture, enterprise systems engineering, cyber security, and IT. The role will partner closely with senior business and technology leaders to drive transformation and deliver world-class enterprise systems. Externally, the role will leverage 3rd party vendors on an as-needed basis to accomplish key outcomes.
As a Private Equity-owned company with an active acquisition strategy, this role requires significant experience in M&A systems integration, harmonizing disparate technology stacks, and rapidly onboarding acquired entities onto standardized platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise systems strategy aligned with business objectives and growth initiatives
- Build and mature a best-practices Enterprise Systems organization capable of supporting rapid growth and M&A activity
- Define technology standards, governance frameworks, and architectural principles for enterprise systems
- Lead digital transformation initiatives that drive operational excellence and competitive advantage
Enterprise Application (SaaS) Ownership
- Own the full lifecycle of enterprise systems across Go-To-Market (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success), Finance, HR, and Operations functions
- Oversee major platforms including but not limited to Salesforce, NetSuite, Conga, Gainsight, Microsoft 365, and associated ecosystems
- Manage traditional IT infrastructure including networking, endpoint computing, and office technology across global locations
- Ensure systems reliability, security, scalability, and compliance across all regions
Team Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing, globally distributed team across USA, Australia, and Poland
- Foster collaboration across time zones and cultures while maintaining operational excellence
- Develop talent and succession planning for critical enterprise systems roles
M&A Integration & Scaling
- Lead enterprise systems due diligence, integration planning, and integration execution for acquisitions.
- Develop repeatable playbooks for rapid system integration and data migration.
- Harmonize technology stacks across acquired entities while maintaining business continuity.
- Drive platform consolidation and rationalization efforts post-acquisition.
Operational Excellence
- Establish and monitor KPIs that include but are not limited to system performance, security, adoption, cost efficiency, user satisfaction and senior stakeholder satisfaction
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, process optimization, and innovation
- Ensure robust cybersecurity posture and regulatory compliance (SOC2, GDPR, etc.)
- Manage enterprise systems budget and demonstrate value delivery
- Manage strategic vendor relationships and optimize third-party spend
- Evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities within enterprise platforms to enhance automation, insights, and decision-making
Business Partnership
- Serve as trusted advisor to C-suite executives on technology strategy and digital transformation
- Partner with senior cross-functional leaders and stakeholders to prioritize investments, define agreed roadmaps / plans and drive measurable ROI
- Translate complex technical concepts into business value and outcomes
- Champion change management and user adoption initiatives
Security, Risk and Compliance
- Implement and evolve state-of-the-art security standards, processes and best practices including but not limited to identity and access management (SSO/MFA/JIT), least privilege, device posture checks, data loss prevention, and audit trails.
- Ensure compliance with relevant controls, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR/APPs), and vendor risk management.
- Lead vulnerability and incident response processes for enterprise apps.
Vendor, Budget & Portfolio Management
- Manage strategic vendor relationships, contracts, renewals, and enterprise licensing
- Build the enterprise systems portfolio view (total cost of ownership, utilization, risk, business value) and drive rationalization/standardization
- Own the Opex/Capex budget, forecast, and cost‑to‑serve metrics; deliver year‑over‑year productivity gains
Qualifications
Experience
- 10+ years leading Enterprise Systems/Corporate IT/Business Apps in tech‑centric or SaaS environments; success operating in global, high‑growth companies.
- Demonstrated ownership of Salesforce, NetSuite, Conga (CPQ/CLM), Gainsight, Microsoft 365, and adjacent ecosystems.
- Hands‑on leadership of multi‑region teams and third‑party partners; strong program management and stakeholder influence.
- Proven record executing M&A systems integration (due diligence through post‑close), including data migration and platform rationalization.
- Deep familiarity with ITIL/SDLC, change management, identity and security fundamentals, and enterprise data governance.

Tertiary Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field required.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Relevant certifications (Salesforce Admin/Architect, NetSuite Administrator, ITIL, PMP/Prince2, Security+ or equivalent, etc) will be highly regarded.
