IT Support Engineer

We’re expanding our IT team with an IT Engineer who will assist with Azure cloud infrastructure, enterprise security posture, and advanced systems administration. This role is designed to complement our existing IT support staff by focusing on strategic, high-impact initiatives that drive resilience, scalability, and security across the organization.

Security & Compliance

• Implementation and monitoring of endpoint protection (e.g., Microsoft Defender), patching, and compliance policies.
• Collaborate with internal security teams to assess risks, respond to incidents, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Work within Purview and other products for Data Security
• Follow and enforce security best practices across cloud and on-prem environments.

Cloud Infrastructure

• Architect, deploy, and manage Azure cloud services, including servers, virtual networks, identity management, and resource optimization.
• Data transfers and Blob storage
• Maintain and improve Azure AD configurations, role-based access controls, and conditional access policies.
• Support hybrid identity and device management through Intune and Microsoft 365.

Systems Administration

• Oversee advanced configuration and troubleshooting of Windows 11, Apple iOS, and Android endpoints.
• Manage enterprise-level patching, updates, and uptime strategies.
• Provide escalation support for complex technical issues beyond Tier 1/2 scope.

IT Strategy & Collaboration

• Work closely with existing IT support staff to guide onboarding, Intune policy refinement, and asset lifecycle management.
• Identify gaps in infrastructure and propose scalable solutions.
• Lead or contribute to strategic IT projects, including automation, monitoring, and process improvement.

Operational Excellence

• Monitor and manage service tickets, ensuring timely resolution of high-priority issues.
• Maintain hardware/software inventory and forecast procurement needs.
• Be available for after-hours support as needed (evenings/weekends) for critical uptime-related issues.

Education: Associate’s degree preferred; alternatively, 6+ years of professional IT experience.

Experience: Proven track record in cloud infrastructure, security operations, and systems administration.

Technical Skills:

• Azure/Entra Cloud, O365, Intune, Microsoft Defender, Patch Management, Microsoft Sentinel, Purview.
• NIST 2.0
• Windows 11, Apple iOS, Android OS
• Office 365 administration

Certifications: A+, Network+; Azure or Security certifications.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Strategic mindset with hands-on troubleshooting skills
• Collaborative spirit with a calm, customer-focused approach
