We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The Lead Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the electrical design, engineering, and technical aspects of substation EPC projects. This role involves ensuring all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership abilities, and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in electrical engineering, along with expertise in project management and mentorship.


Primary Responsibilities
• Lead the development of electrical designs for HV/MV substations, including single-line diagrams, protection schemes, and equipment layouts.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the electrical engineering team.
• Design, Review and approve electrical calculations/Studies such as: short circuit analysis, load flow studies, Reactive Power (Cap Bank Analysis), Harmonics, Lighting/Illumination, Arc Flash, Voltage Drop, Grounding, Lightning, and insulation coordination. Etc.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NESC, NEC).
• Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure design alignment with material specifications.
• Support commissioning and testing of electrical systems.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and project milestone meetings.
• Oversee the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical systems and components for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Lead electrical engineering aspects of projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope and budget.
• Work closely with mechanical, software, and other engineering teams to integrate electrical systems with overall product designs and specifications.
• Develop and maintain detailed electrical schematics, specifications, test plans, and reports. Ensure all documentation is clear, accurate, and up to date.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to electrical systems during development, testing, and post-production phases.
• Ensure all electrical designs adhere to applicable national and international codes, standards, and regulations. Stay updated with emerging industry trends and best practices.
• Identify potential electrical hazards and mitigate risks during design, testing, and implementation phases.
• Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure design alignment with material specifications on BOM List.

  • Professional Qualifications
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a preferred.
  • • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in electrical engineering
  • • 5+ years of experience in substation (Data Center) design and engineering.
  • • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, AutoCAD, CYMCAP, CDEGS/WIN IGS).
  • • Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuit design, and power distribution.
  • • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred but not required.
  • • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
