Senior Project Officer

Location – Parramatta

Salary – GR 9/10 $129,464.00 - $142,665.00 plus superannuation

The Senior Project Officer manages and coordinates the development, implementation and evaluation of complex projects to achieve outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives.

What You’Ll Do

In this role you will support the building and sustaining of effective working partnerships with stakeholders in the Community Housing Provider (CHP) and Aboriginal Community Housing sectors.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Undertake research and analysis of complex policy matters to identify issues, develop evidence-based options, and formulate recommendations about proposed initiatives.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on key matters across the CHP landscape, to identify issues and ensure the achievement of desired outcomes.
  • Manage, plan and implement strategic activities, including upholding agreed policy and process , coordinating resources, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes are achieved.
  • Work independently and with teams across multiple divisions and stakeholder groups while keeping the leadership team appropriately informed, to deliver high quality work on time.

What we’re looking for

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Strong, demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience
  • Experience with managing an engagement plan across government and non-government sectors
  • Experience using asset management principals to review and manage strategic property maintenance plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to use strong engagement and negotiation skills to work in partnership with the Community Housing Sector.
  • This role may involve travel both locally and regionally, including overnight travel, as required by the business and/or directed.
