Apex is seeking a Principal Technical Leader. This opportunity is remote.

Your Responsibilities as a Principal Technical Leader:

Come grow with Apex. The sky is the limit regarding where your career will take you – whether it be a largely technical role, an operations role, or a growth/sales lead role. For a Principal, we are looking for you to:

• Serve as senior technical lead on cumulative projects which total $2 to $5 million annually. Contribute to successful business development of new clients and projects at greater than $1 million annually.
• Write and review technical reports and proposals.
• Assist with project management activities.
• Augment a busy established, successful practice in groundwater/soil characterization and remediation;
• Identify and develop successful client relationships and new business development opportunities with public and private clients on local, regional or national basis; business development of $400,000 annual revenue
• Mentor and train scientific staff and ensure quality work product.
• Actively develop your own career growth.

What We'Re Looking For:

• BS in Engineering. Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience with environmental/remediation services, including technical writing, technical oversight, project management, business development, and staff management
• Experience with oil & gas, manufacturing industries, utilities, landfills, and chlorinated solvent sites highly desired, Potentially Responsible Parties (PRP) groups municipalities. (preferred)
• Current California PE (required)
• Proven track record in business development and project management (required)
• Proven track record of mentoring and developing staff (preferred)
• Strong technical writing skills, the ability to successfully multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with Deltek Vision is preferred.
