Job Description

Support the process of addressing business challenges through clear articulation of business process problems and proposing innovative solutions to the challenges. Support in continual improvement to ensure efficient and effective functioning and high level of service within assigned portfolios.

  • Design practical business solutions and implementing solutions in a disciplined and structured manner. Develops and implements initiatives to reduce costs and ensure that budgets for the continuous improvement and Enablement and Change area are met.
  • Monitoring process performance using data and measurable KPIs to improve efficiency and enhance quality. Researches, develops and implements interventions to advance the continuous improvement agenda, with a view to ensuring efficient and effective functioning and a high level of service within the process engineering unit.
  • Identifies, assesses and mitigates the risks facing both systems and business processes thereby minimising the operational risks.
  • Liaises with business stakeholders in ensuring that regulatory, group policy standards and minimum operating procedures are observed to minimise the Bank’s exposure to risk. Collaborate with other areas to ensure that best practices and a standard approach is followed.
  • Identifies, defines and implements tactical operational performance metrics geared towards meeting enterprise objectives by analysing the existing gaps.
  • Identification and assessment of risks facing both systems and business processes thereby providing effective loss and risk management and so minimising the operational risks.

Qualifications

  • Business management or commercial degree. Applicable certifications are an added advantage.
  • Experience in management of complex operations, ideally within the financial service sector.
  • Experience in researching and analysing processes. Practical knowledge of how to input, access and utilize information to analyse forecast trends.
  • Experience in identification and resolution of process bottlenecks.
  • Relationship building and management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of banking transaction processes relevant to products and services offered to customer.
  • Working knowledge and principles of capacity management in terms of resource options, availability and costs. Knowledge of cost management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of security management principles and practices
