This role sits within MarketCast's custom team - a small team in London that delivers strategic consultancy for clients in the areas of innovation, marketing, branding and communications. We answer client's business questions and operate as an extension of our client's insights teams, working collaboratively with them to solve their business problems.

To cover a period of Maternity Leave, on a fixed-term basis, we’re looking for someone who...

  • Has experience in a Research Director capacity.
  • Has had exposure to some qualitative projects would be ideal but not essential. Many projects have qual and quant components, and our ideal candidate can lead and support qual-quant integrated studies
  • Experience leading quant projects and managing the client from start to finish - writing surveys, monitoring fieldwork, creating DP specs, running data, managing Quant Operations and analysis/reporting/presenting are all tasks for this role
  • Understands in depth the different aspects of quantitative research, the pros and cons of different approaches including more advanced methods e.g. Max Diff, segmentation, Conjoint, heatmapping, sample weighting etc.,
  • Has ideally had some experience with Youth (e.g. research with kids, parents), Family, diverse audiences or foundational type studies
  • Will hit the ground running and is excited by the idea of learning on the job – absorbing and growing in real-time.
  • Will be a good cultural and professional fit with our growing London team of hybrid Researchers, who service local clients across Europe
  • Has a strong eye for detail, they sweat the small stuff as important as the big stuff.
  • Is a creative thinker, if you come bursting with ideas and can see patterns in data, we’re excited.
  • Is interested in either the Entertainment landscape, the Tech world, or the universe of Lifestyle Brands – we work with some of the biggest names in each category.

It’ll be helpful if you have:

  • At least 8 years’ experience working in consumer insights / primary consumer research or marketing strategy or at a media / entertainment focused company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Economics, Business, Marketing, Media & Communications, Film Studies or related fields.
  • Experience with / interest in international trends and how culture impacts entertainment tastes and preferences.
  • Are based or have a desire to live in London.
