Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare audit schedules and reconciliation of all balance sheets and variance analysis on P/L accounts
- Support and potentially independently handle the month-end closing for Refash Malaysia and other dormant entities
- Coordination of calendar invites between external and internal team members
- Follow up on targeted timeline on deliverables from various team as well as responses required from external auditors
- Assist the Manager in other ad-hoc queries to support the daily business tasks and other accounting related tasks
Qualifications
General Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an accounting professional certification either in Degree in Accounting or Chartered Accountant certification.
- Have the passion to work with a high volume of numerical data and interest in continuing to pursue a career in the accounting profession.
- Highly motivated individual who is willing to work with experienced professional and adopt hybrid working arrangement to be in office twice a week
- A high level of rigour, energy, discipline to operate both independently and in team
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment where continuous learning and adapting is required to support business growth and experimentation
- Attention to detail and deadline-oriented
- Internship to start on Jan 2026, with 6 - 12 months duration.
- Analytical skills: able to analyze financial data and transactions to identify errors and discrepancies
- Communication skills: verbal and written communication
- Basic knowledge of accounting principle: IFRS/SFRS.
- Basic knowledge of journal entries, book-keeping and reconciliations is beneficial
- Excel Proficiency: Proficiency in Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP and pivot tables, is highly beneficial.
