About The Role

As a Program Delivery Intern, you will work closely with the Google Cloud Program team at ALX to help ensure smooth delivery of the pilot program. You will support program operations, learner communications, community engagement, and event execution. This role is key in fostering a structured and engaging learner experience that enables participants to succeed in their Google Cloud learning journey.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Develop clear, creative, and engaging communication contents on a weekly basis by sharing important program updates, celebrating wins, and highlighting key announcements to drive engagement and keep learners informed. 
• Team Operations Support: Collaborate with team members to plan and execute effective operational strategies, streamline daily workflows, and ensure smooth coordination of tasks to support team productivity and cohesion. 
• Event Experience Design: Support the Community specialists in the execution of virtual events that enrich learner and alumni experience. 
• Community Moderation & Support: Monitor learner interactions on community platforms, ensuring respectful and productive conversations aligned with our community guidelines. Provide timely support to learner inquiries, assist in onboarding navigation, and build strong connections with both current learners and alumni.
• Graphic Design & Multimedia: Create visually compelling banners, videos, and other digital assets that spark interest and deepen learner engagement. You’ll bring flair and creativity to how we communicate, ensuring our messaging is not just heard—but felt.

Requirements

Essential

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in community engagement, customer service, or a related field. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect genuinely with diverse learners.
• Active listening and empathy—you care deeply about learner success and tailor your approach to meet their needs.
• Creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh ideas and approaches to community building. 
• Analytical thinking—comfortable identifying trends and insights from learner behavior and interactions.
• Experience using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and familiarity with design tools like Canva.
• Proven ability to work effectively in collaborative, fast-paced environments. 
• A growth mindset—open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated customer service orientation with a problem-solving attitude.

Work Hours

The required work hours are 40 hours per week.

The preferred time zones are GMT +2/SAST/ CAT/EAT.

Due to the considerable amount of virtual working and interaction with colleagues and customers in different physical locations internationally, it is essential that the successful applicant has the drive and ethic to succeed working in small teams physically but in larger efforts virtually. Self-drive to communicate constantly using web collaboration and video conferencing is essential. As an employee, you will be encouraged to continually develop your capability & attain certifications to reflect your growth as an individual.
