The Role:
We are seeking an Executive Director, Client Finance to play a pivotal role in ensuring financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic partnership across client accounts in the marketing and technology sectors. This role bridges finance and client leadership, balancing financial stewardship with business growth, and serves as a key partner to account leaders while supporting the SVP of Finance in broader organizational objectives.
What You’Ll Do:
Client & Financial Leadership
- Partner with client account teams to oversee financial health of assigned portfolios, including revenue, margin, and profitability.
- Manage account-level P&Ls, forecasts, and reporting with accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide insights and recommendations to client leads and senior stakeholders on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Commercial & Client Partnership
- Support client negotiations with financial analysis, pricing models, and SOW review.
- Ensure financial compliance with client contracts and proactively highlight variances.
- Partner with business development and client leaders to assess financial implications of new opportunities.
- Operational Finance
- Lead forecasting, revenue recognition, and month-end reconciliation for assigned clients.
- Support resource planning and utilization analysis in partnership with operations and delivery leaders.
- Implement consistent financial processes, reporting standards, and controls across accounts.
- Leadership & Collaboration
- Manage and mentor a small team of client finance professionals, building expertise and consistency.
- Collaborate with the broader finance leadership team to implement strategic initiatives and improve operational efficiency.
- Serve as a bridge between account leadership and finance, ensuring alignment on business goals.
What You Bring:
- 12+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally in client finance, FP&A, or commercial finance within the marketing, advertising, or technology sectors.
- Strong understanding of client contract models (retainers, project-based, time & materials, performance-based).
- Proven ability to partner with client and business leaders to drive profitable growth.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills; strong proficiency in Excel and financial systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing or mentoring finance professionals.
- CPA, CFA, or MBA a plus but not required.

The anticipated salary range for this position is listed below. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, physical location, and organizational impact. This is based on a 40-hour workweek and leveling. Keep in mind, we’re flexible.
