The Global Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) team drives industrialization, launch readiness, and long-term supplier excellence across innovative product lines. As Manager, SQE Program and Plant, you will lead a team of Quality Engineers to execute SQE deliverables and ensure alignment with key stakeholders across project, engineering, quality, and plant functions during both development and mass production phases.
Reporting to the Head of KSA Supplier Quality, this role spans the full lifecycle from pre-sourcing through launch. You will oversee SQE contributions to successful project execution, including RFQ assessments, supplier industrial readiness evaluations, critical supplier identification, and capacity validation. You will monitor and communicate program status across SQ and plant teams. In mass production, you will support plant quality by coordinating escalations involving critical suppliers with the global SQ organization.
The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and globally mobile, with proven experience managing international teams and suppliers. Success in this role requires the ability to lead across EMEA and KSA regions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
You Will:
- Support suppliers’ plant readiness in the early program phase to follow the sourcing strategy.
- Ensure the Program/Projects milestones deliverables for suppliers manufacturing (process, part maturity level, and capacity readiness).
- Coordinate quality issues resolution for supplier manufacturing non-conformity, ensuring each open item has a recovery plan consistent with the car milestones.
- Manage Capacity Assessment and ensure readiness according to program deliverables
- Ensure roadblocks (part/process maturity, timing, capacity) are escalated at the proper level of the Supplier organization, and recurrent follow-up action plans are fixed.
- Foster APQP deliverables under SQE responsibility.
- Ensure proper representation of SQ in all program Gate Reviews, Escalation Meetings, and Project regular activities
- Ensure regular reporting sessions for the progress of Program milestones, deliverables about suppliers' manufacturing items (process, part maturity level, and capacity readiness).
- Escalate the Critical Issues identified during the development phase towards the project/purchasing team within the organization and ensure recurrent follow-up are organized.
- In Mass production, coordinating the solving of suppliers’ issues with the Global SQ org as the SQ plant representative
You Bring:
- 5+ years of experience managing direct reports within a structured Supplier Quality Engineering function
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline required; advanced degrees preferred.
- Greenfield project experience with CBU and suppliers launches.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, proven program management capabilities, and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Hands-on supplier industrialization, supplier quality toolbox (ISO, IATF, DFM, GD&T), and automotive core pillars (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA) experience. Demonstrated experience in auditing suppliers and assessments using industry-standard methodologies.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills, hands-on and data-driven, creative mindset in problem-solving
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, be part of the solution, and be able to adapt to the dynamic working environment.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
