The Senior Analyst, Audit is responsible for supporting various aspects of participations audits. Responsibilities include planning and preparation of documents, pulling and reviewing agreements, litigation research, and other ad hoc special projects. The Senior Analyst will also be assisting in fieldwork for the FCRA Audit department and will provide information for audits related to Participations reporting.

Job Responsibilities

* Support audit in the timely completion of researching, gathering and reconciling of data/reports, documents, and materials as requested 25%

* Responsible for executing fieldwork procedures by reviewing and responding to audit requests (including pulling support from SAP and/or other systems, requesting from Warner business units) 25%

* Assisting in analyzing and addressing audit claims 20%

* Read and understand abstracts and long form legal agreements, related correspondence, and applicable systems used for reporting 10%

* Maintain system of organization to monitor audits from fieldwork through to settlement; maintain high-quality digital audit workpapers and files; escalate issues in a timely manner 10%

Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects as assigned 10%

Types Of Decisions Made By This Position?

  • Review information, agreements and contracts before providing to auditors
  • Assess priority of tasks assigned to maintain deadlines as required.
  • Assess validity and completeness of responses from business units and auditors and follow-up accordingly

TYPES OF DECISIONS THAT MUST BE APPROVED BY SUPERIOR:

  • Final scheduling of new audits
  • Final closing of current audits
  • Final approval of any response to auditors

Job Qualification Standards

Work Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in accounting, audit or finance environment
  • required (3-5 yrs preferred)
  • Experience working for an Audit firm desired
  • Experience in Participations a plus
  • Entertainment industry experience a plus

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training Or Certification

Ba/Bs Degree Required

MBA or CPA/CPC preferred

Knowledge/Skills

Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office applications required

Proficient in SAP General Ledger

Strong planning, organizational and analytical skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong math and algebra skills

Strong ability to interact professionally with auditors and all levels of company personnel and management

Understanding of Participations reporting, including the ability to read and understand extracts of legal agreements

Must be detail oriented and quick learner

Other Requirements

Must be a confident individual, who is a quick learner who takes initiative and is results-oriented

Must be a team player with high-level of interpersonal skills and customer focus

Must be able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and work overtime, as needed

Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

Must be able to manage multiple tasks effectively, efficiently, with flexibility to changing priorities

Must be able to maintain confidential information
