Summary
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead finance process migrations across Asia as part of Manulife’s Finance Transformation initiative. As a Finance Specialist, you’ll contribute directly to our mission of delivering accurate and timely financial services while driving operational excellence and automation. You’ll gain exposure to cross-border collaboration, process improvement, and leadership development in a dynamic shared services environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Perform accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Review and ensure quality of deliverables, supporting junior team members and maintaining process accuracy.
- Train and coach team members on migrated processes, ensuring readiness for live production.
- Act as point-of-contact for business units and project teams during migration and production phases.
- Lead and support automation initiatives to improve accuracy and cost efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and management reporting.
- At least 3 years in an international organization or shared services environment.
- CPA with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Management.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables; VBA is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in process migration and transformation projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across cultures.
- Ability to work independently and manage tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
