System Administrators Apprentices collaborate with many teams to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information systems. Upon completion of this program, you will have the ability to maintain a secure, cost-efficient Information Technology environment across various classified programs.

What You Will Do:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems at Pima community College while working a minimum of 20 hours per week
• Must work on site at a Raytheon facility in Tucson, Arizona
• Learning to manage IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Understanding and gaining knowledge of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
• Manage Information Systems by using the command line
• Learning to work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
• Learning troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS). 
• Gaining an understanding of data RAID, data backup uses and technologies. Install and configure software applications requested by end users.  
• Learning to team with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements. 
• Develop documentation and training material on and refine advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned. 
• Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification)
• Less than 5% travel
• 100% on site position
• Must be Arizona resident

Qualifications You Must Have:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• An active DoD clearance
• Working experience in Windows Server 2008, 2012,2016 to 2016,2019, and 2022 
• Knowledge of NAS or SAN technologies
• Knowledge of VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX virtual computing methods (i.e. Nutanix, Hyper V, etc…)
• Knowledge of Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, Exchange, and Lync 
• Experience with Backup Exec, NetApp Snap Protect, data backup technologies, systems principles, and safeguards 
• Basic Windows scripting 
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux Server Operating Systems (OS) 
• Experience DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Backup and Recovery enterprise suites

The salary range for this role is 36,000 USD - 66,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
